With Music Together Online, music class comes to your living room! Every week for ten weeks, Music Together of the Chinook Wind’s teacher JoDana will lead your whole family in fun music activities using songs from the Maracas Song Collection. Plus, you’ll get a digital recording, songbook, and bonus activities so the musical fun can continue all week long! It’s the perfect way to deepen your little one’s music education from home.

Beginning April 20th, families enrolled for our Spring session will have access to:

  • Two 20-minute interactive virtual classes via zoom. Zoom is an online video platform, and is more interactive than any other interface I’ve experienced so far. Instead of going to your class once a week, your class will come to you, via computer, tablet or phone 2 times a week (so if you can’t make one of the times you will be able to join in the other, or catch them both if you can!)
  • Two weekly Facebook LIVE events via a private Facebook Group, “Maracas MT Chinook Wind Families”, you’ll be able to watch the live videos here anytime that suits your schedule after we’ve posted them.
  • Downloadable family resources (colouring pages, musical games etc.)
  • Access to videos from our very own Uncle Gerry (from the recordings), exclusively for enrolled families.

Summer FREE demo Classes

Music Together conducts Teacher Training workshops for those who are interested in becoming a Music Together teacher. These workshops are well-known and respected as a perfect introduction to the world of Early Childhood Music. These workshops also include three demonstration classes. Here’s where you come in.

As a family that is local to this workshop, I am pleased to extend this invitation to a FREE demonstration class that will take place in Cochrane during our upcoming workshop. There will be a group of teachers-in-training watching the class, who would love to ask you some questions about your experience with Music Together. These classes are a great opportunity to bring an older sibling or significant other to class, make-up a missed class, or just spend more time making music with your child!

The new edition of the Tambourine family songbook series is debuting this spring! Each song is brought to life through colorful and engaging illustrations by award-winning artist Jaime Kim and children’s book illustrator Gerald Kelley. The new book will inspire your family to play with music all week long. You’ll find it helpful to learn the lyrics, as a jumping-off point for creative storytelling, and to learn more about the songs you’re singing in class. Your child may enjoy snuggling with you and singing through the whole book at once—or opening to a page to tell you what song they want to sing!
